TLC Healthcare (TLC) has been awarded 205 subsidised residential aged care places in the 2020 Aged Care Approvals Round (ACAR), which is 100% of their requested places. This is the highest number of aged care places allocated to a single provider in Australia.
Aged care operator TLC was on Friday appointed to return to more than 100 homes in Victoria already visited by the two companies and vaccinate residents.
TLC runs aged care homes in Melbourne and Geelong. Its 11 homes had zero coronavirus cases last year during Victoria’s second wave, when 655 people died in private aged care.
TLC Healthcare (TLC) is the first residential aged care provider to be given approval to directly administer the COVID-19 vaccine as part of the phase 1A roll-out of the national vaccination program. This is the first agreement of its type, aside from the current contractors engaged by the Government for the phase 1A roll out.
